MaxRets Ventures plc (AQSE: MAX) (the "Company" or "MaxRets"), an investing company focusing on early-stage growth or undervalued later stage businesses with strong upside potential, announces the appointment of Mr Luca Giacomo Zanni as a Non-executive Director of the Company.

Mr Zanni is an experienced financial professional, having served as the Chief Financial Officer at a number of  businesses with revenues of up to EUR 650 million, including at GPack SpA from 2022 to 2024, Group Chief Financial Officer at Safe SpA from 2020 to 2022, Group Chief Financial Officer at Fimer SpA from 2016 and 2020 and was employed at Socotherm Espana SA from 2004 to 2015, spending 2013 to 2015 as the Chief Financial Officer, including a period from 2011 to 2012 as a director at Socotherm.

Mr Zanni graduated from Bocconi University, Milan in 2004 with a BBus (Business Administration) and has an MBA At SDA Bocconi School of Management.

Save as set out below, no further information regarding Mr Luca Giacomo Zanni is required to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 4.9 of the AQSE Growth Market Access Rulebook.

Mr Luca Zanni (aged 44) holds no current or former directorships within the past five years:

Mr Zanni does not hold any shares, or options or warrants over ordinary shares, in the Company.  

At the same time, the Company announces the resignation of Mr Dominic White as Non-executive Chairman, and the Board has started the process to appoint a replacement Non-executive Chairman. In addition, the Company announces that Luciano Maranzana has been appointed as Senior Non-executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Luciano Maranzana, Non-executive Director, said "Luca's appointment is a step forwards for MaxRets as it brings additional high level financial and business operations experience to the Board, adding to the strong investment track record of the other Board members. With Luca on the Board, there is an increased pipeline of opportunities for MaxRets,  and we anticipate that the additional focus that he brings will result in new investments for the Company in the near future.  In addition, the board thanks Dominic for his contribution to the Company over the last years and we have started the search for his replacement. "
