Niki Beattie, Non-executive chairman
Niki was appointed as the independent non-executive Chairman of Aquis Exchange in March 2013. She is the founder and managing partner of Market Structure Partners (MSP). Prior to establishing MSP, Niki spent 14 years at Merrill Lynch, most recently as head of the investment bank’s market structure group in EMEA. Previous roles include spearheading the development of the trade reporting system BOAT and being a key founder of the alternative trading system Turquoise. Niki also currently serves on the board of agency broker CA Cheuvreux and on the supervisory board of Moscow Exchange.

Alasdair Haynes, CEO and director
Alasdair is the founder and CEO of Aquis Exchange. He is the former CEO of Chi-X Europe and was responsible for growing the business into Europe's largest equities trading platform and into profitability before its sale in late 2011. Prior to that, Alasdair spent 11 years heading up ITG's international business, pioneering the introduction of electronic trading and crossing into the European and Asian marketplaces. Alasdair began his 30 plus-year career in the City with Morgan Grenfell and has held senior positions at a number of investment banks including HSBC and UBS.

Jonathan Clelland, COO and director
Jonathan is the COO of Aquis Exchange. Prior to joining Aquis he was the COO of HSBC Investment Bank Corporate Finance Division and of Shearman & Sterling London, one of the largest global law firms. He is also a non-executive director of 123gaming a specialist technology gaming company.

Donal McCann, Non-executive director
Donall is the board representative for a select group of private investors in Aquis Exchange. Elsewhere, he is a partner at a leading commercial property consultancy, specialising in the retail field.

Mark Spanbroek, Non-executive director
Mark Spanbroek is a non-executive director of Aquis Exchange. He is also currently the Secretary General and Vice Chairman of the Futures Industry Association’s European Principal Traders Association. Prior to this, he spent nine years as a director of GETCO Europe Limited, the global independent market making firm. He began his career with Amro Bank and spent 15 years with Dutch market maker Van der Moolen before joining GETCO in 2002. His other roles include being an independent non-executive director of the CME Europe Ltd Board of Directors.

Adam Maciejewski, Non-executive director
Adam Maciejewski is the CEO & President of the Management Board of Warsaw Stock Exchange and Chairman of the Supervisory Boards of the Polish Power Exchange and BondSpot (fixed income market operated by WSE). Outside of business, he is involved in a number of educational activities: he is Chairman of the Programme Council of the Academy of Capital Markets Leaders at Leslaw A. Paga Foundation, a member of the Advisory Council to the Management Faculty at University of Gdansk and a member of Warsaw University of Technology Convention. He is a graduate of Warsaw School of Economics and several postgraduate studies.

Pawel Czupryna, Non-executive director
Pawel Czupryna is currently advisor to WSE and prior to this, he worked for leading European investment banks including Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and Raiffesien Centrobank. Pawel holds an MBA from Warsaw University.

Sean Melnick, Non-executive director
Sean Melnick is the founder and deputy chairman of Peregrine Holdings Ltd, the JSE-listed asset management and financial services business, as well as Chairman of Peregrine subsidiary Stenham Limited. He has been actively involved in the start-up phase of several businesses that today have marketing-leading positions in their respective niches. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a graduate of the University of Witwatersrand.

Richard E T Bennett, Independent Non-executive Director
Richard is an HSBC veteran having spent over 30 years there, most recently as Group Managing Director and General Counsel. He is also a Special Advisor to The Parliamentary Treasury Committee and a consultant to the global executive committee of Norton Rose Fulbright.
